Creating a community feeling

How do we create a community feeling in our area? Bridgend, Gannochy and Kinnoull are all different. There doesn't seem to be a focal point for the area. People don't seem to meet and chat anywhere. Would it help with the "youth problem" if there was a feeling of togetherness? Would it lead to some support for the businesses that struggle in Bridgend? Does it matter? Are people quite happy in their own wee worlds?

I definitely think we need some kind of community area - a hall, or to be able to use a school hall or whatever. Young people, early teenagers, etc. probably don't want to have to go into town to be able to meet up with friends. There's a lack of facilities all over Perth for young people, and I think it's especially obvious in the outlying areas. Not just teenagers either - I'm sure that adults, and younger kids, would like to have somewhere to meet up. Are there any possible venues?
