Murray Royal Hospital

We were disappointed that the planning application to develop the hospital was approved but glad that there were some conditions attached.
NHS Tayside has been told to consult with us and the service users. We'll try to get the best result for the patients, staff and community.
We are really grateful to all the people who turned up at the meeting, contacted their councillors and/or signed the petition . We do think you made a difference.

I think it is incredibly irresponsible and childish to say that you are disappointed that the planning application was approved.

You should find a way to constructively help the developments on the site and enable the Murray Royal staff to provide decent facilities for the poor patients housed there as soon as possible.

Obviously none of you have a relative there, as you would dispair at the accommodation and would wish, as I do, for the new facilities to come as soon as possible.

Thanks for your comment.

We very much want to see better facilities at the hospital and support its redevelopment.

We are just very concerned at the density of the buildings and the loss of green space which the patients and carers tell us is so therapeutic. The community also benefits from the open ground.

We had supported refusal of the current plans as we hoped that that would make NHS Tayside come up with plans that would be more in keeping with what we were told the patients wanted.

Now that the plans are passed we shall work as much as we can with NHS Tayside.
