Murray Royal Hospital latest

On 25th April around 200 people attended Perth & Kinross Council's special Development Control Committee in the Quality Hotel. The decision on the application by NHS Scotland to develop the Murray Royal site was deferred to allow for consultation and provision of further information.
The Community Council which campaigned for this is really pleased that such an important decision was not rushed through. We are looking forward to discussions with NHS and others on the future.

Murray Royal Hospital latest

The Development Control Committee meeting to consider the Murray Royal Hospital development will be held in the Quality (Station) Hotel at 9.30 tomorrow Wednesday April 25th.
The Community Council wants the hospital to be developed but wants it to be carefully considered with all the proper studies like an environmental impact report.

Murray Royal Hospital - latest

We have discovered that there is to be a meeting of the Development Control Committee on Wednesday 25th April at which the Murray Royal application will be considered - again.

At the meeting on 14th March, the decision was deferred and NHS Tayside were told to provide a master plan of the site. So far as we are aware, they have not done so, yet the Council are prepared to allow the application to be reconsidered.

We wonder why such a massive development is being considered only 8 days before the elections by councillors, some of whom will not return.

If this development is good for Perth, why does it have to be considered in such a rush?

If you are concerned about this, please contact Perth & Kinross Council. Your local councillor is Peter Barrett. You could also contact your MP Peter Wishart or your MSP Roseanna Cunningham or any of the Community Council members.
